The business is owned and operated by Van R. Butler III. The Butler family has been in Grayton Beach for nearly 100 years. Van R. Butler Sr. homesteaded Grayton Beach in 1920s. He built and operated a general store and dance hall that is now the Red Bar. He was a school teacher and the local elementary school is now named in his honor. The majority of the beachfront at Grayton was owned by the Butler’s prior to 1985 when they sold the land to the State of Florida. However, as a condition of the sale, the Butler’s required that they and others retain the right to launch boats from the beach and go fishing as it had been a “Family Tradition” for so many years. We just love it and I know you will too. Come join us!
Come join our family in Grayton Beach Florida and fish the beautiful waters here on the Emerald coast? As we cruise offshore to fish one of the many artificial reefs that lay on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, you'll be amazed at all there is to discover! As you fish with me, Captain Van R. Butler III, during an awesome day on the water, I will show you the many different species of fish that populate the Gulf of Mexico.
